Religious Education Program for Children and Youth

Unitarian Universalist Principles - In Young People's Language
  1. Each and every person is important.
  2. All people should be treated fairly and kindly.
  3. We should accept one another and keep on learning together.
  4. Each person must be free to search for what is true and right in life.
  5. All persons should have a vote about the things that concern them.
  6. We must work for a peaceful, fair and free world.
  7. We care for our planet earth, the home we share with all living things.

YRUU (Young Religious Unitarian Universalists)

Youth in grades 9 - 12 are encouraged to attend the service of worship each Sunday. High school juniors and seniors may sign up to assist with the RE Program for children, if desired. Please see Stephanie Sharp or Allison Tyler for further information on this great opportunity.

Our Whole Lives (OWL)

OWL is a program of comprehensive sexuality education developed by the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ. At developmentally appropriate levels, OWL promotes informed and responsible decision-making and sexual and emotional health in our communities. It fosters meaningful dialogue and parent-child communication. OWL helps participants apply their religious and moral values in an important area of their lives, and deepens commitment to one's faith tradition. OWL is available for Grades K-1, Grades 4-6; Grades 7-9, Senior High and Adults. This year our trained OWL facilitators will offer K-1st and 7-9th Grade OWL.
