Stephanie Sharp became the Director of Religious Education (DRE) for Children and Youth at All Souls in June of 2007. Prior to that, she was a member of the Religious Education Team for two years. She and her family have been members of All Souls for three years. Stephanie grew up on a 200-acre farm in central Missouri and received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemistry from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg in December 1996. After graduation, she worked in a production lab for Bayer Corporation for a year and a half before joining her husband (of 11 years now), Larry, at Ft. Benning, GA. From there, the Army sent them to Ft. Carson, CO for three years. During that time, their children Benjamin (now 8) and Abigail (now 6) were born. Following their time in Colorado, they spent a year back at Ft. Benning, then Larry spent a year in Korea while Stephanie and the kids lived in Missouri near her family. With much excitement, they moved back to Ft. Carson in 2003. Stephanie has spent most of her time as a Stay-at-Home Mom and volunteering at the children’s school, at All Souls, and at various Army Organizations at Ft. Carson. She was very happy when the DRE position opened up, since both kids will be in school full-time in the fall, and it seemed like the perfect fit. Her familiarity with the RE Program through her work on the RE Team has aided her tremendously as she has transitioned into the DRE role. Stephanie enjoys listening to music, singing, gardening, photography, crafts, time with family and friends, hiking, and bike riding. She also delights in reading books on spirituality and is relishing her own spiritual journey that was inspired, and continues to be inspired, by her experiences at All Souls. |
