Stained Glass Restoration Project

The Stained Glass Restoration Project seeks to preserve one of the most cherished features of All Souls’ historic building. Many of the stained glass windows are signature designs, created expressly for All Souls. Some of these designs are shown below.
After more than a century, these windows — valued at $800,000 but containing glass of color or texture that is no longer available — have grown as fragile as they are lovely. Restoration will entail cleaning and repairing the glass and lead, replacing and repainting the wooden sashes, and installing vented, protective glazing.
See the Stained Glass Restoration Update page for current details on the status of the project.
The cost of this project is $312,000. With the help of a state grant and generous contributions, over $237,000 has been raised so far. Several fundraising events have been held and others are planned to help raise the remaining funds.
You can help, too… by donating to the Stained Glass Restoration Fund. Donations of all sizes are welcome, and every donation is tax-deductible. Higher levels of giving will gain special recognition:
- Donations of $50 and up: You will receive a note of recognition and thanks from the Stained Glass Restoration Team.
- Donations of $1,000 and up: Your name will be inscribed on a community plaque.
- Donations of $10,000 and up: You will receive an individual plaque with an inscribed dedication.
- Donations of $35,000 and up: You will receive an individual plaque with inscribed dedication for one of the three medallion windows.
