Adult RE
Adult religious education is available through our covenant groups. You must register to participate. Current curriculum-based groups (with start date) include:
- Building Your Own Theology (started fall 2011) – facilitated by Larry Norfleet and Pam Scully. Meets two Sundays a month, noon to 2:00 pm.
- Resistance and Transformation: UU Social Justice History (started fall 2011) – facilitated by Rev. Dr. Nori Rost. Meets 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
- Spirit in Practice (started January 2012) – facilitated by Christy Stettler and Joy Oliver. Meets 1st and 3rd Mondays, 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Other covenant groups have a topic focus but don’t use a curriculum. These include (with start date):
- Men’s Group (started fall 2011) – facilitated by Ed Benn. Meets last Thursday of the month, 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
- Newcomer Group (started fall 2011) – facilitated by Bonnie Phinney. Meets 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 6:30 t0 8:30 pm.
- Writer’s Group (started fall 2011) – facilitated by Jo Winn. Meets 2nd and 4th Fridays, 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
- Book Club (started fall 2011) – facilitated by Deborah Bonifas. Meets 4th Wednesday of the month, 6:30 to 8:00 pm.
- Young Adult Group (started fall 2011) – facilitated by Shelby Conques and Kaeli King. Meets as arranged by the group. For details, see the Young Adult Group page.
