Reverend Dr. Nori Rost
Rev. Dr. Nori Rost comes to All Souls with a serious passion for parish ministry. She has exceedingly strong credentials as a parish minister, having served congregations for over nineteen years. She also brings strong academic credentials. She holds a Master of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado, and a Doctor of Ministry from the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In addition, she holds a Certificate for Spiritual Direction from the Benet Hill Center.
Rev. Rost brings a major up-beat attitude to every conversation, and a sense of humor. “Creating and making room for joy is just as important as weaving social justice throughout every area of church life. A sole focus on either one without the other will create a soul-less church eventually headed toward destruction, but a passionate love and pursuit of both will give birth to a strong and vibrant congregation with tremendous spiritual power.
“I’m thrilled to have been called as the settled minister of All Souls. I believe that together we will change the religious conversation in Colorado Springs.”
Minister Emerita, The Reverend Dr. Ellen Johnson-Fay
The Rev. Dr. Ellen Johnson-Fay was called to be the Senior Minister at All Souls in 1999. She retired in July of 2006 after more than forty years of service in the areas of religious education and parish ministry. At her retirement, All Souls voted to confer upon Ellen the title of “Minister Emerita,” a first for All Souls in its history, which spans more than a century!
Ellen and her husband, Barry, have remained in Colorado Springs, and are involved with various groups both locally and nationally. Ellen continues to be a member of several Unitarian Universalist Association boards and commissions.
