Live Our Values: Help Organize Our Solidarity Summit

Building our collective capacity for justice, care, and resilience is the sacred work of our UU faith. On Oct 3, 2026, All Souls UU Church will host a regional Solidarity Summit as part of the national UU the Vote: Ignite Solidarity, Reimagine Democracy campaign.

This summit is a vital space to train lay leaders, deepen relationships with local social justice partners, and practice hands-on community defense. But to make this vision a reality, we need to build a committed, collaborative organizing team now.

We need to find 5 congregation members to help serve on the local planning team with Ben Wallace by July 25 in order to make this a reality. 

No prior organizing experience is required—only a willing heart and a commitment to our shared UU values. 

We are looking for members to help support five key working groups:

• Communications & Promotion: Manage outreach, branding, and registration.
• Logistics & Safety: Coordinate our space, accessibility, budget, and safety planning.
• Programming: Shape the agenda, select training tracks, and coordinate speakers.
• Volunteer Coordination: Recruit and support day-of volunteer squads.
• Home Hospitality: Coordinate welcoming home stays for traveling participants.
