New Sound Abatement in the Small Hall

You may have noticed the Small Hall walls are covered in fabric panels. These are technical panels designed to reduce the echo and sound in this small space. We hope you find it less noisy and easier to chat with others in the Small Hall.

The Buildings and Grounds Team worked to find a vendor for these panels (Made in the USA!), design the number of panels needed to meaningfully reduce the sound, request funding, and install the panels once they arrived. The project was lead by John D’Alesandro with major input from Dan Hall, Gary Harrison, Jay Hatfield, Charmaine D’Alessandro, and Scott Harrison.
