Rick has been a UU since 1981 and a member of All Souls since 1991. He was introduced to Unitarian Universalism at the First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis by his wife, Marguerite Terze, and they were married there in 1982. Their daughters, Cate York and Anne Terze-Schwarz, grew up in the RE program at All Souls. Rick has been involved in All Souls’ worship service production for more than two decades, having learned and inherited that responsibility from All Souls icon Bob Armintor. During the pandemic, he coordinated the production and delivery of robust virtual services over Zoom. After the pandemic, he coordination All Souls’ evolution to an equally robust hybrid platform for live and Zoom audiences. Rick’s work style leans decidedly on teamwork and communication, and it is informed by his long involvement in many aspects of church life – including singing with the Choir
and the Band, being a lay worship leader and pulpit speaker, and volunteering on fundraising efforts, a variety of teams, and the Board of Trustees.
