ALL SOULS THIRD  MONDAY HIKE

HIKE INFORMATION: We are providing hike length and difficulty so you can judge your comfort level. We stay together as a group and leave no hiker behind. We are watching mud conditions carefully, and will send a confirming email next weekend about trail conditions

TRAILHEAD: Lower Bear Creek Park Trail

MEETING PLACE: Same

HIKE STARTS at: 10:00   Please arrive by: 9:45

HIKE DISTANCE:  About 2.5 miles

ELEVATION GAIN:  about 200 feet

HIKING TIME (moving time): 1 hour 30 minutes. There are benches for resting.

HIKE DIFFICULTY RANGE: easy

HIKE DESCRIPTION:  This fairly flat gravel path explores the south eastern region of Bear Creek Regional Park. There are good vistas of the front range foothills, Cheyenne Mountain, and the Horns, as well as downtown Colorado Springs.

HIKER PREPARATION/EQUIPMENT:  Bring plenty of water and a light windbreaker if the wind picks up.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD: Driving west on Lower Gold Camp Road, turn (west) left on W. Rio Grande street. Drive ALMOST  to 21st street.Turn left toward the Bear Creek garden plots (Creek Crossing St.) Turn right at the first parking lot. If you get to the 21st street dog park, you have gone too far.

RESTROOM: At the dog park across 21st street.

PETS: On leash, pick up after your dog.
