will meet at the TH . We are not arranging carpooling for this hike. If you would like to rideshare
you can ask Jan who has signed up. Please include your cell phone number and an emergency
contact, if possible.

TRAILHEAD DIRECTIONS: Drive up Highway #24 to Woodland Park. In Woodland Park, turn
right (north) on S. Baldwin St. Drive 2.9 miles and turn right onto LOY Creek Road. Drive 1.5
miles and turn right onto Rampart Range Road. Drive 2.3 miles to the TH, #714, 9701-9751
Forest Road 300. In GPS type in coordinates:

HIKE STARTS at: 8:30 am. Please arrive by: 8:15.

HIKE DISTANCE: approx. 3.5 miles down to Rampart Reservoir and back.

ELEVATION GAIN: approx 300 ft

HIKING TIME (moving time): about 2- 2.5 hours depending on how many stops we make for
flower gazing.

HIKE DIFFICULTY RANGE: Easy, fairly flat slope.

HIKE DESCRIPTION: This hike wanders gently downhill along Rainbow Creek to Rampart
Reservoir. The slope is gentle and the trail is easy. There are good views of Pikes Peak and the Front Range. There are abundant wildflowers to see and photograph. Jan will share her knowledge about these native plants.

HIKER PREPARATION/EQUIPMENT: hiking poles if you wish, and plenty of water.

RESTROOM: There are no restrooms.

PETS: no pets please.
